Frequently asked questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?+
No. This version performs the merge in your browser using PDF-LIB. The selected files are processed locally on your device and are not sent to a TechBuildex conversion API.
Can I merge more than two PDFs?+
Yes. You can select multiple PDF files at once and use Add More PDFs to add additional files before merging.
Can I change the order?+
Yes. Drag the handle beside each file, or use the up and down controls. The final PDF follows the order shown in the list.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?+
The merge copies PDF pages into a new PDF without intentionally converting pages to JPG/PNG. Existing page content is therefore preserved as PDF content as far as the browser PDF engine supports it.
Can password-protected PDFs be merged?+
Some encrypted/protected PDFs cannot be loaded unless they can be opened by the browser PDF library. If a file cannot be read, the tool will show an error instead of producing an incomplete merge.
Disclaimer: Processing happens locally in the browser. Very large PDFs or large numbers of pages can require substantial RAM and may take longer depending on the device and browser.
